Collar Based Ruggedized Assembly MWD

LEAM's revolutionary new COBRA™ MWD is the tool of the future. Boasting a ruggedized, collar-mounted design, it significantly decreases MWD failures due to harsh drilling conditions. The COBRA tool is also fully compatible with both EM and Mud Pulse transmission, so it's ready for any environment.

Positive Pulse Retrievable MWD

Our innovative retrievable tool uses positive mud-pulse technology to provide downhole direction, inclination, temperature, gamma and real-time toolface. The great advantage of this fully retrievable MWD tool is the ability to save time, and therefore money, by eliminating pipe trip time for directional tools and by reducing lost-in-hole exposure.

High LCM Rotary MWD

One of the many challenges operators face when drilling a new well is lost circulation. Standard positive pulse tools can sometimes struggle to operate in high LCM environments. Our advanced pulser features a rotary main valve that is ideal for operation in high LCM concentration.

With the reduced risk of plugging downhole components, you can manage lost circulation while minimizing risk and nonproductive time.

Electromagnetic (EM) MWD

LEAM's EM system was specifically designed for use in challenging applications such as under-balanced drilling, high-speed drilling, low pressure formations or lost circulation situations. LEAM’s EM system doesn't rely on drilling fluid to transmit directional data, so it allows for reliable operation where positive pulse technology is unfeasible.

Signal processing is accomplished by amplifying and filtering signal then using digital processing algorithms to detect weak signals in the presence of electrical noise. Surveys can be transmitted during connection with no waiting time at data rates five times faster than conventional mud pulse rates.
